Black has spoken at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, the Gloucester History Festival, London’s Brydges Place Club, the National Memorial to the Few, the West London Aero Club, RAeS branches and various Museums, the award-winning Army Flying Museum Middle Wallop, Bentley Priory, Biggin Hill, Brooklands, the Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum, and the Hendon and Cosford RAF Museums. After-dinner talks figure too: at RAF stations, the RAF Club and for charities.

The 2026 schedule has thus far included Oxford LAA, WLAC White Waltham and IWM Duxford, with talks also planned for the Manston and Bentley Priory Museums and RAeS Gloucester & Cheltenham.
